Yeah, weirdly... it's something they talked a lot about back at home. A lot of researchers believed there any number of alternate realities, or different versions of us that existed... that sort of thing. It's a strange way to think about it, but yes. So much of this place has been intending to hold up a mirror to us all. Every chance it gets, your old wounds or weaknesses are unveiled anew. Testing, as if to see whether you've surpassed them or not.
It's hard for me to believe this excursion was only meant to torment those poor souls, and leave them with nothing to show for it. There must be a point to it. It's too strong a spell to cast without purpose.

They did. Some scathing assessments there, or just frivolous ones. All the same, they belied too much for comfort. [idk why i feel shocked to hear he is 24, i have no idea what age i imagined he was. 36? 18? your face belies NOTHING, rafayel!!!!!!!!!!!] It is certainly unfair. So few of us hail from the same place. We ought to be following our own laws of life and afterlife, not drawn across scattered realms to pay dues to gods unseen.
