he likes the way tobari is trailing over the marks from last night. it felt not unlike the way a painter would scrutinize their own brush strokes. it tickles just a little, and so he gives a small, airy sort of laugh as he finishes pulling off the rest of the tie. it took some effort from him (because he insisted on trying to be seductive... this is embarrassing), and so he lays back, already tired. just enjoying the weight of tobari's body, as if it were his security blanket. ]
Mm, no. We don't. We can grab food nearby, or we can order takeout. That way we can take it easy, before tonight. [ he strokes tobari's hair, now with his hand freed. while he can finally use his right hand now, he can't deny it does feel a bit emptier. they both are prone to loneliness, it looks like.

tobari's hair is probably free of whatever style it got put in the night before, all unruly and long, and he closes his eyes briefly as he just enjoys the feeling of rafayel's touch. he hums faintly at the plan for the day, deciding he's fine with anything. vacation is rare for him and normally he'd like to be up and about a bit more, but here he finds himself warring between his curiosity about where rafayel grew up and just wanting to stay closer to the person in question as much as possible
so he settles that wish of his by simply leaning in to press another lazy kiss to rafayel's mouth as if banishing any thoughts of being so mean to him? what has tobari ever done to deserve this? it is not like he is so constantly mean and bullying to rafayel all the time? ]

[ he is not the type to wait to claim the attention he wants... even now, he just experimentally flexes his fingers when his hand is freed to let his palm just rest over rafayel's chest as if seeking out his heartbeat ]

either way, he likes it when tobari's hair is down like this. it feels... like a sight that's reserved just for him. you'd think a night of intimacy would have just as easily driven the same point home, and yet... rafayel can't help but feel insecure at times.

honestly, the fact that he's coming across that way doesn't even cross his mind. as far as he knows, he's just being a good, diligent boyfriend. in reality, tobari probably does know him a little too well. in the same breath, he does catch onto that brief glimpse of something on tobari's face, and he just sort of smiles weakly at it.

he watches as tobari chooses an outfit for today, and head towards the door. his peacock behavior is sooooo cute. but, rafayel isn't sure why this sight of tobari leaving unsettles him for a moment, but it does. so he can't help but walk over to him and pull him into a hug. he then slowly releases his hold on him, and gives a nod. ]

it's probably in the same way, rafayel has avoided voicing his concern to the smell of ash and soot that occasionally clings to tobari. a distinct, almost chemical scent that clings to the nose. he quiets for just a second before simply leaning his head into the touch. ] I just wanted to say I really, really like you.

while rafayel looks a bit a mess with paint on his perfectly white clothes as he's seen dozing off on a chair with a sketchbook over his face to block out the sun. ]

the sketches span from just the lonely strip of beach they walked, to the restaurant they went to last night. there's a bit of waves, a seashell that he draws by memory, and then an even rougher draft of what looks to be a person. a familiar man with long hair, hair that's spread out on the page as he's clearly sleeping in the drawing. the only thing unfinished is the actual expression of the individual featured in his unfinished work...
he stirs slightly just from smelling the food, but also from tobari's ( omegaverse voice ) specific scent. but, he knows he has to be good and wait for the kiss to awake like a proper prince(ss). he opens his eyes slowly, and the first thing he does is grab tobari onto his lap. ]
